With the latest version of the Shack-Hartmann software SHSWorks 12.004, we have revised the real-time mode. To make everyday work with SHSLab wavefront sensors and SHSInspect systems even more convenient, it now offers the following new features:
- Image acquisition takes place in a separate software thread. This allows for smooth operation regardless of the evaluation rate.
- The "Vision Control Camera Only" mode is now available for faster pre-adjustment of test specimens without wavefront evaluation.
- The automatic shutter function has been developed. As an alternative to the maximum-based algorithm, a new histogram-based algorithm is now available, which improves control stability in the case of reflection-interfering images. In addition, the control is restricted to points within the evaluation mask so that stray light in the peripheral areas of the camera image no longer affects the automatic shutter.
- An extension of the TCP integration interface has been implemented (available as a plug-in). This provides the option of using a second TCP channel, which also transmits live data such as 2D wavefront.
- For applications in the field of contact lens testing, this allows connection to the FocalPoints software, via which lens data and the associated measurement results can be flexibly exchanged.
