The mobile wedge angle sensor WAS-P is used to determine the wedge angle and radius of curvature of glass panes, such as windshields of cars, helicopters, aircraft or rail vehicles. In automotive engineering, the wedge angle and curvature radius parameters are of great importance when special projectors are used to reflect important information in the driver's field of vision. If these parameters differ significantly from the desired values, ghosting or blurred images may result, rendering the projection system unusable. WAS-P is able to measure both wedge angle and curvature radius parameters with a single sensor. An optional manual positioning system enables precise and repeatable positioning of the sensor on the built-in windshield.

Positioning System Features
The positioning system features a frame with suction cups for mounting on a car windshield. The frame represents an x/y guide system that enables manual, repeatable positioning of the measuring head. The measuring head is mounted in such a way that it can be placed perpendicular to any point on the windshield surface.
