FC Gold liquid has been developed and designed to exhibit very low adhesion on gold. It is a new unique design blend and solvent formulation that has passed all testing standards and has excellent contamination control and removal.
Gold coatings themselves have very low adhesion and the substrate generally needs to be properly cleaned and plasma etched with an adhesion layer such as chrome applied between the substrate and the gold. While our red cleaning protectant has been proven to be safe on gold coated substrates, this one has been extensively tested by LIGO and others, and FC Gold has even lower adhesion than our red liquid. If the coating integrity is questionable or unknown, you can try this one. It is particularly suitable for gold coated substrates that require ultra-low adhesion and high-efficiency contamination control.
